- People wear new clothes and clean their homes.
🌈 Holi
- Holi is the festival of colors.
- People play with gulal (colored powder).
- It marks the arrival of spring.
🌞 Makar Sankranti
- Makar Sankranti is a harvest festival.
- People fly kites and eat til laddoos.
- It marks the start of longer days.
🌙 Ramadan / Eid
- Ramadan is a month of fasting and prayer for Muslims.
- It ends with the festival of Eid.
- People wear new clothes and eat sweet dishes like sevaiyan.
🇮🇳 Independence Day
- Celebrated on 15th August.
- India became free from British rule in 1947.
- The Prime Minister hoists the national flag.
🧾 Republic Day
- Celebrated on 26th January.
- India got its own Constitution in 1950.
- A big parade is held in New Delhi.
