1. Parts of the Body

  • Our body has many parts that help us do different things.
  • Main parts of the body:

    • Head – has eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.
    • Trunk – chest and stomach.
    • Limbs – arms and legs.

2. Sense Organs

We have 5 sense organs to learn about the world:

Sense Organ What it does
Eyes Help us see.
Ears Help us hear sounds.
Nose Helps us smell.
Tongue Helps us taste (sweet, sour, bitter, salty).
Skin Helps us feel (hot, cold, soft, hard).

3. Important Organs Inside the Body

  • Brain – helps us think and learn.
  • Heart – pumps blood all over the body.
  • Lungs – help us breathe air.
  • Stomach – digests the food we eat.

4. Taking Care of Our Body

  • Brush teeth twice a day.
  • Take a bath every day.
  • Eat healthy food.
  • Drink clean water.
  • Play and exercise to stay healthy.
  • Wash hands before eating and after using the toilet.

  • The brain controls the whole body.
  • The heart keeps beating all the time, even when we sleep.

1. Main External Parts

These are the parts we can see and touch:

  • Head – with hair, eyes, ears, nose, and mouth.
  • Neck – connects the head to the body.
  • Arms – used for holding, writing, and playing.
  • Hands – have fingers and nails, used for holding things.
  • Legs – help us walk, run, and jump.
  • Feet – have toes, help us stand and walk.
  • Chest – the front part of our body.
